DPD Distribution Centre

GRS Electrical Services recently finished work on the new distribution centre for DPD. This is a new 47,145sqft parcel distribution depot at Ozone Business Park in Howden, with DPD looking to expand after experiencing unprecedented growth in the UK.

The £4m development sits on a 4.5 acre site and includes a distribution warehouse, 6,716sqft of offices space, 59 van and HGV trailer parking spaces and 60 car parking spaces.

Once fully operational the facility will be able process up to 20,000 packages a day for delivery to residential and business addresses within a 50 mile radius.

GRS installed new LED lighting for the main warehouse area, with new lighting also installed for the offices areas. A comprehensive distribution and small power system was installed. Provision was also allowed for a full fire alarm system and mechanical power supplies for the ventilation system.

This state of the art facility will be a core part of DPD’s operations and play a key part in their future success.
