GRS Lights It Blue

Monday, 7th April 2014 GRS Lights It Blue

St James’ Church turned the Louth skyline a deep shade of blue this week, in aid of International Autism Awareness Week. The majestic church joined landmarks such as the Empire State Building, Sydney Opera House and the CN Tower in the ‘Light It Up Blue’ scheme on Saturday evening (April 5). GRS were proud to be involved in helping raise awareness of autism by supporting the “light it Blue” campaign. GRS installed the blue filters and lamps on St James’s Church , Louth. The church will light up blue every evening until Saturday April 12. Blue is the adopted colour of the National Autism Society, and the scheme is also supported by local group, Louth Area Autism Family Support (LAAFS). Our own Derek Maher was on hand to undertake the big switch on during the launch of awareness week on Saturday night. Derek ‘said’ “ It’s great to have an opportunity to be involved in such a worthwhile cause”.
