The Wolds Care Centre, Louth

The former site of the 'Lord Tennyson' and 'The Lady of Shallott' has recently had its 'public house' tradition broken with the addition of 'The Wolds Care Centre'. The vision of Bluebrick Health Care has been brought to life on the site and the finished product is one of beauty. It has the homely feel of an upscale hotel rather than a care home and the phrase, "Can I book myself a room?" has been uttered many a time during this build!

The name "The Wolds Care Centre" was chosen by one of the children at Laceby Gardens Primary School, Louth, in reference to the importance that Louth has in the history of the Lincolnshire Wolds.

The completed building is designed to care for 64 residents who will have full access to luxuries such as an in-house cinema and a hair & beauty salon. There are numerous dining and relaxation areas, which have their own theme or individual feel, as well as a 'sensory room', with specialised lighting and smells and a country garden view depicted across the walls. In the beautifully finished reception area, the residents and their visitors even have their own coffee bar and barista!

GRS Electrical Services were proud to be a part of this installation - both the brief and the desired effect for the finished product were interpreted perfectly here when considering the electrical design. GRS carried out every electrical aspect of this build from the 'ideas stage' at the beginning to its ultimate installation and completion. The results compliment the design and feel of the finished building perfectly, making its function as diverse as its residents. The Wolds Care Centre, Louth provides "A Home for Life".
