Set in the beautiful grounds of the Temple Gardens, the Gallery houses an exquisite collection of Fine and Decorative arts. The gallery was built in 1927 to house the collections of paintings, porcelain and decorative arts of James Usher.
The gallery has undergone refurbishment to bring it into the 21 st century. GRS Electrical Services completed the first phase of the refurbishment works which included the installation of new feature lighting to the gallery. It now also houses a plethora of historic artifacts, this combination of Art and History has been named 'The Collection' and has widened the Usher Gallery's visitor demographic quite considerably. The attraction now caters not only for art lovers, but families, schools and historians alike with new style display systems and childrens play facilities as well as a re-vamped cafe and restaurant area.
